2003
Rare passage migrant.
The Nene Washes bird from December 2002 was still present in January with reports on 6th and 31st (JT, RSPB). Single birds were at Prior’s Fen GP on 21-22 May (BHS, MW) and Hampton on 25 Jul (KD, SPD).

2002
Rare passage migrant.
During spring passage, three birds were present on the Nene Washes on 7 May (RSPB) with two there on 12 May (MF) and singles on 21 May (GW) and 22 May (SPD). Possibly the same bird was seen at Prior’s Fen GP on 18 and 21 May (GW). In the second winter period, single birds were at the Nene Washes on several dates from 30 Nov-17 Dec (MAW, RSPB). A single bird was also present at Prior’s Fen GP on 11 Dec (SPD).

2001
Rare passage migrant.
A good year, with one at Prior’s Fen GP 10 May (GW), five on the Nene Washes RSPB reserve 11th (RSPB), and further singles on the Nene Washes (March Farmers) 13th (BHS), 14th and 15th (RSPB) and Deeping Lakes NR 26th (TW).

2000
Rare migrant.
One over Gunwade Lake, Ferry Meadows CP 8 May (GRH, GW), then two at the Nene Washes 13 May (SC) with an adult at Baston & Langtoft GP on 21 May (DP, TW).

Nene Washes: Singles appeared on 30 Apr, 6 May, 18 May, 21 May and 21 Jul. Two occurred on 11 May and 13 May.
