2003	Rare passage migrant. In January, three first-winter birds were present in the Nene Washes area, with reports from Dog-in-a-Doublet on 5 Jan (SPD), Cross-guns on 12 Jan (RSPB) and beside the B1040 on 27 Jan. A single first-winter bird at Prior’s Fen GP on 25 Jan (PT) may have been one of the Nene Washes birds.
2002	Rare passage migrant. Two records this year. The first was at Ferry Meadows CP, an adult seen flying over Overton Lake on 10 Oct (GW), with an adult at Fletton BP on 13 Oct (SPD).
2001	Rare passage migrant. Following the exceptional year of 2000, another good year with three records. A juvenile flying along Bridge Street in Peterborough City Centre 22 Sep (GW). More typical were two adults west over the Nene Washes RSPB reserve 8 Nov (JT) and a single along the River Nene at Dog-in-a-Doublet 9 Nov (MF).
2000	Rare migrant. An exceptional year, with two adults at Eldernell 11 May and a first-year on 12th (CK). Also an unseasonal adult at Baston & Langtoft GP on 1 Jul (TW).
1999	Vagrant. An adult was at Eldernell 25 Feb (GRH).
1998	Rare winter visitor. Nene Washes: A single flew over the reserve on 1 May.
