2003
Escape/feral. Breeds European Arctic tundra and winters in north-west Europe. Genuine winter records possible.
Single birds present at Bainton GP, Baston & Langtoft GP, Burghley Park, Hampton North Lake and Prior’s Fen GP. Two birds recorded at Maxey GP on 23 Aug (JJ). One adult with two hybrid young were recorded at Grummit’s Scrape on 25 Jul (AA, PA); up to four birds present at Ferry Meadows CP and 2-3 birds at Deeping Lakes NR irregularly through the year.

2002
Escape/feral. Breeds European Arctic tundra and winters in north-west Europe. Genuine winter records possible.
One to two birds present throughout the year and recorded from Orton BP,
Prior’s Fen GP, Deeping Lakes NR, Bainton GP, Ferry Meadows CP, Nene Washes, Maxey GP and Hampton Lakes. Three at Deeping Lakes NR on 2 Mar (MH) and four at Ferry Meadows CP on 5 Mar (DG).

2001
Escape/feral. Breeds European Arctic tundra and winters in north-west Europe. Genuine winter records possible.
Recorded in all months with the regular Greylag and Canada Goose flocks (MO). Single birds reported from Ferry Meadows CP, Nene Washes, Orton BP, Bainton GP, Deeping Lakes NR and Maxey GP, with five reported from
Bainton GP on 5 Jun, four at Baston & Langtoft GP on 15 Aug and three at Ferry Meadows CP on 16 Nov.

2000
Escape/feral.
One Ferry Meadows CP 2nd & 13 May, two 28 Sep-4 Oct and 12th, 19th and 29 Dec.

1999

1998
Rare winter visitor/feral.
A feral bird was with a Greylag Goose flock at Fletton BP on 1st, 8th and 12 Oct (GW).
Nene Washes: A single bird was present throughout May. A flock of 35 on 6 Dec arrived high from the north-west and flew maniacally around the washes during the morning, occasionally settling on winter wheat in the Thorney Toll area.
