Scarce passage migrant .
Two records this year. An adult male was seen at Bainton GP in early May (CHu, KH) - several Pied Flycatchers have been ringed at this site in autumn in previous years. A female/juvenile was at Ferry Meadows CP on a typical date of 28 Aug (HB).

Scarce passage migrant .
A good year locally for this species, with one spring and two autumn records. A male was present at Bainton GP from 22-25 Apr (RB, WB, ES). At the same site a juvenile caught and ringed 14 Aug (ES). Ferry Meadows CP hosted the third, in the company of Spotted Flycatchers, along the treeline along the Overton Lake side of Heron Meadow 4 Sep (MJW).

Rare passage migrant.
A male was singing in an Oak tree on Milton Golf Course on 8 May (WEW), but could not be relocated.
