The bird frequented Long Meadow and Gunwade Lake but could also been on Heron Meadow. It is one of two present in the area at the same time, the other at Baston and Langtoft Pits.
A flock of ten was also seen on the 28th first at Stanwick Gravel Pits in Northamptonshire then at Rutland Water and further single birds were reported from Broom Gravel Pits in Bedfordshire and Cow Lane Gravel Pits in Cambridgeshire.

There was another of these rare migrants to the PBC area on the Nene Washes in May 2002 Click here for pics.
